More and more presentations are given in English. Dutch audiences generally don't have much trouble with this. We speak and understand English at a reasonably high level and use it on a daily basis nowadays. Are you expecting audience members from several countries? The English language can sometimes pose a difficulty for the visitors. In and around countries in southern Europe the average level of English is lower than in our country. In order for these visitors to follow the presentation or workshop properly, it is essential to translate the presentation. Of course, presentations are not always given in English. If the guest speaker is not proficient enough in English, a presentation given in their mother tongue is of course preferable. If there are many international visitors at this conference, this can be a problem- and interpreters are the solution. There are many scenarios in which the translation of the working language is necessary. The above scenarios are just examples of the various uses of this set. Translation Tech

Our wireless translation tech relies entirely on products from the renowned brand Sennheiser. They have been supplying wireless technology for microphones and monitor systems for many years, which they have implemented in translation technology. This translation tech utilises audio technology which will already be required for the convention. This includes microphones, speakers and mixing desks. The mixing desk takes care of branching off the audio of the speaker towards the control panel for the interpreter. Here the interpreter has numerous settings and a microphone at his disposal. The translation is sent via this panel to a transmitter, after which the audience can hear the translation via the wireless receiver through headphones. It is also possible to translate the main language into several languages. A separate control panel is required for each translation. In this manner, each interpreter can set up his own translation as desired, without being hindered by other interpreters. However, it is important that both interpreters are placed in separate rooms so that they do not distract each other. This set does not include an interpreting booth. Please bear in mind that we only provide the translation technology: interpreters are not included in this set. You will need to provide them yourself. Since conferences usually center on a certain subject, you will often encounter interpreters who tour with a conference, as they already have a grasp of conference-specific terms and language. It also means that the interpreters are more familiar with the speaker’s story, allowing for smoother and quicker translation.

Operation

The interpreter has his own control panel. This panel takes care of all signal flows, but also gives the interpreter access to various settings. For example, the interpreter can adjust the incoming volume of the speaker, but also the outgoing volume of his microphone. We supply the control panel with a gooseneck microphone, but the interpreter can also connect his own headset with built-in microphone. In case of multiple translations of the working language, the speaker's audio can be linked to up to 4 control panels. This eliminates the need for separate audio for each panel. This saves the sound engineer valuable audio outputs, which are now available for a different purpose.

Wireless

This system functions completely wirelessly. Once the interpreter's translation has been picked up by the microphone in the cabin, it is sent into the room via a transmitter. The visitors who do not understand the working language receive a wireless receiver with headphones. They can then receive the translation wirelessly. On this receiver there is a knob with which each participant can independently determine the volume of his or her headphones.

Headphones

Each receiver is equipped with a pair of headphones. This allows visitors to listen to the translation without disturbing their neighbour or neighbour. Are there multiple translations available? The desired language can be selected on the receiver. These are shown on the display with both a number and name. Often, productions which require translation are complicated and require a lot of custom work. Everything mentioned above is merely an example of what is possible.
