Guided tour

A guided tour system, tour guide system or whisper set are frequently found in museums, but also in other locations where making noise is not an option. A whisper set is an ideal solution. They make it possible to present a clear tour whilst keeping the noise level to a minimum. The audience will not notice how quiet the presentation actually is, because they will all be listening to the presentation through their own headphones. Translation

This set is not only suitable for presenting a guided tour, but also for translating one. Whisper interpreting is a variant of simultaneous interpreting and therefore happens live during the presentation. Contrary to what you might be used to, whisper interpreters do not sit in a separate booth, but are present during the tour. This is useful when a small group of the audience does not understand the language of the presentation. By making use of whisper interpreting, the tour can take place as it normally would. The interpreter will, for a small part of the audience, directly translate the presentation via the wireless handheld microphone. With the available wireless receivers, these visitors can listen to the interpreter through the headphones and still follow the tour in the desired language. This form of translation is only suitable for small groups or groups in which a small part of the audience is unable to follow the presentation in the original language. For audiences who do have a command of the language - and therefore do not need a whisper set - the continuous whisper produced by the interpreter can become quite a hindrance.
