Baseplate Pin 40 cm

A pipe & drape system simply can't be used without the use of a baseplate. This heavy ground plates deliver the stable base needed to keep the upright from falling over. To connect an upright with a baseplate, the orange pipe & drape pin is needed. Without this pin, it's not possible to connect both elements. Therefore, when ordering baseplates, never forget to order pins as well. At least one pin per baseplate is needed.

Application Baseplate Pin 

As above-mentioned, the pin takes care of the connection between the baseplate and upright. The force exercised by the upright is absorbed by the pin. This 40 cm pin is longer than the regular 10 cm model. Therefore creating more stability. This version therefore is often used when the pipe & drape system is used for mount heavier objects such as lighting. Due to the high point of gravity in those situations, a larger pin is needed. The 10cm pin we only recommend to use in combination with regular pipe & drape setups.

Connecting the pin

With every orange pin an Allen Key screw is provided. This bolt is mounted to the pin. Even though it may seem you need tools for setting this up, that's not the case. Everything is designed to build without tools. Please note that when you are connecting the pin to the baseplate, the entry side for the bolt is always the side where the shape of the bolt is milled out.
