Wireless LED PowerPAR

As evolution on the successful and multifunctional AX5 TriplePAR Astera designed the Astera AX9 PowerPAR. As successor of the powerful AX10 SpotMAX, this new model has everything on board that you expect from a contemporary lighting fixture. This spotlight comes with a built-in battery, with a life of up to 20 hours. These LED spots can communicate completely wirelessly via wireless DMX or the AsteraApp on a tablet. The spot is waterproof (IP65) making it perfect for outdoor use, without even having to take weather conditions into account. The battery powered spotlight functions completely with fanless cooling. The specially designed aluminium housing offers the fixture enough options to release the internal heat. The lighting fixture houses a powerful and reliable 105 watts RGBMA light source. All of these features make the Astera AX9 PowerPAR extremely versatile. This spot is very much suited to use at conventions, presentations or business events, as it is extremely high quality. This includes indirect mood lighting for your location, but also lighting for our stage, banner, or convention stand. Outdoors, this Astera AX9 with its weather resistant casing (IP65) can serve as a powerful light source, outstanding for lighting up facades, bridges, and other objects.

Light Source

Under the casing of this Astera AX9 lies a powerful 105 watts light source, consisting of very high quality Phillips RGBMA LEDs. If you are not familiar with other Astera products, please allow us to elaborate. Since the introduction of the Astera TitanTube, Astera has been using a special light source that applies mint-(M) and amber (A) LED's. This enables you to create colours that are not feasible with a RGB(A)W light source. By combining these LEDs with TruColour calibration, an unbelievably high level of colour mixing can be attained. This results in a CRI value of 96 or higher. An unprecedented value. So high colour consistency y between batches, but also exact colour temperatures of the LEE filters (CRI91). Any colour is possible, from red to blue, green to purple. Everything is possible. These spots are even able to be programmed at a colour temperature of 2700-6500K.

Filters Astera AX9

Used as a regular spot, the Astera AX9 PowerPAR has a light beam angle of 13°. This beam angle however is adjustable. We offer the AX9 in our rental package with two type of diffusor filters to widen the beam angle. A floor filter that enlarges it to 30° and a Wallwash filter scaling it up to 46°. With these filters you can tailor the light to the ideal scenario for your event.

Astera Battery

Wireless lighting has become something we start to take for granted. And rightfully so. Messy cabling for mood lighting or uplights are a thing of the past. In the housing of the AX9 PowerPAR you will find a powerful and reliable LG Hem battery that enables you to use the fixtures up to 20 hours. Charging the battery only takes 5 hours. If required, the AX9 lights can also function when used with a power cable.

Seamless Runtime

A very handy feature of this tube is seamless runtime. You can indicate in the app how long the light needs to function. The Astera AX9 PowerPAR will then adjust the power of the battery over the indicated period, ensuring that the light will never run out of power during the event.

Wireless Communication

The AsteraBox has been designed to help Astera armatures communicate optimally with the controller. This device functions as a 'translation machine' and turns incoming communication into an RF signal. On top of this, the lights also communicate themselves, meaning that the data from each light can be read back. This specific frequency serves not only to prevent errors (by not using the 2.4GHz frequency) but also to increase the range to 300 metres. This box can, of course, also function on battery power. The AsteraBox can be used as a wireless DMX transmitter when combined with a light table, but also works as an interface with a tablet and the AsteraApp. The tablet will then be coupled with the box using bluetooth. Using the application, you can access some unique functions.

Flicker Free Astera LED

Video has become more important at any type of event. Every day there are more cameras involved in live and online productions. A known issue however is the representation of LED lighting on camera. The characteristic of a LED light makes that this type of light is not continuously on like a conventional light bulb, but it flashes really fast. So fast that the human eye does not register the flickering. The lens of the camera however does. With the help of the AsteraBox and Astera application the frequency of the light source can be adjusted between 200 and 1205 Hz. This way you can match the frequency with the cameras frequency. The refresh rate gets automatically adjusted so you don't have any flickering on screen anymore.

Theft Alarm

The Astera AX9 PowerPAR is equipped with a movement sensor. When the lighting is moved or taken away, a siren will sound to scare off possible thieves. You can adjust the sensitivity, type, and alarm delay completely according to your wishes using the AsteraApp.

Enter and Leave Standby

Image that you set up all the equipment for your event or film shoot the day before. Then you like to have as much battery capacity on the big day as possible. The 'enter and leave' standby mode helps you to light up all fixtures at once. This feature can also set to a timer, so that the lamps are either active or passive during set times.

Emergency Lighting

An amusing and convenient feature of this Astera AX9 PowerPAR is the 'emergency light'. It can happen that an electrical blackout occurs during an event. This will often result in a dark space where panic can easily break out. When this product is connected to the electrical network, they can spring to life when the electricity dies. This makes it possible for this product to automatically produce a bright white light source when a blackout occurs. This ensures that your audience will never be left in the dark. No reason to panic!
