Astera FP6 HydraPanel Set
Looking for a set with compact and wireless soft panels to illuminate a small studio or create atmospheric lighting during an event? Then this HydraPanel set is exactly what you need. The name HydraPanel suggests that it is a soft panel, but the fixtures in this set are more versatile than that. If you compare them with a real soft panel, these lamps are very compact. This does not alter the fact that they can be perfectly used as a soft panel, but because of their size they can also be used in a decorative role. This makes the possibilities of the HydraPanel endless. We will tell you more about this versatility of this lighting fixture later on.
Astera features
If you are familiar with the lighting of Astera, this topic needs no further explanation. All Astera fixtures have the same basic functionalities. Despite the fact that the function of the lighting fixtures and the accompanying accessories differ, you know a number of things for sure with a lamp from the German brand Astera.
We are of course talking about the built-in battery. The Astera fixtures, including this HydraPanel set, function continuously for up to 20 hours on energy from the battery (if you program it that way). Since the battery functionality only comes into its own during completely wireless use, the control of these lighting fixtures is also completely wireless. You can set a HydraPanel to a fixed color or white value with the supplied remote control, but by adding an AsteraBox you can send all kinds of cues, chases and programs to the fixture. You can also use the AsteraBox as a wireless DMX transmitter. It is also no problem to use the HydraPanel set outdoors. These luminaires are splash-proof and can therefore withstand a rain shower.
Rigging Accessories HydraPanel
To make the HydraPanel as flexible as possible, a number of accessories are included with every set of 4 pieces. In the case you will find 4 Astera FlexBases. You can use this to place the individual HydraPanels on top of something. However, the FlexBase also functions as a mount to screw into something. In this capacity you can also suspend the HydraPanel with it. You will also find 3 ConnectorPlates in the case. With this accessory, you can connect multiple HydraPanels to each other. Ideal if you need more output. You can attach a maximum of 4 HydraPanels together. In the case you will also find 4 BabyPins. You can use this to mount a HydraPanel on a tripod or to connect it to a Manfrotto SuperClamp. You can also mount these BabyPins on the ConnectorPlate if you connect several HydraPanels together.
Light Modifiers HydraPanel
The HydraPanel could of course not be an exception. If all other Astera luminaires come with diffusers and a filter to adjust the light beam as desired, so does the HydraPanel. This set comes with no less than 6 types of diffusers, honeycombs and filter holders to be able to adjust the light from the soft panel to your liking.
