The Astera DataLink is an additional tool for more complex configurations if you use the Astera TitanTube wired. You use this DataLink as a data injector to provide certain fixtures with data other than the source of the power supply. If you want to use TitanTubes wired, you usually take the Titan PowerBox from the box to provide this. In terms of power supply, you can supply 10 TitanTubes with power. However, as far as data is concerned, you can only send 1 universe to this PowerBox. This is often the limitation (assuming that you often control one tube with a minimum of 80 DMX channels). Using this DataLink you can provide 4 TitanTubes with other data, while removing the voltage from a nearby PowerBox. In this way you can, for example, use all 10 outputs of a PowerBox and send 2 universes of data (divided over 10 tubes). This DataLink is an economical option to fully utilize the outputs of an Astera PowerBox. Without having to make any concessions regarding the DMX profile and the number of channels of the TitanTubes.
