Panasonic Remote PTZ Camera
The two remote cameras included in this set aren’t just any old cameras- they’re Panasonic’s flagship model, the

It might not be clear to everyone what a PTZ camera is. PTZ stands for pan, tilt and zoom. In practice this means that a camera operator can control the camera remotely. Pan refers to the camera turning left and right. Tilt refers to the vertical axis, i.e. moving up and down. Zoom of course refers to zooming in and out. The advantage of PTZ cameras is that you don’t need a camera operator for each camera. A remote camera operator can remotely control multiple cameras at the same time. This allows for budget-friendly multi-cam productions.
Back to the image quality of this PTZ camera. Why is it so good? First of all, this camera produces 4K/UHD resolutions. A higher resolution generally means better image quality. This camera also supports HDR, which means that the colours look better. Washed out images and searching for the right balance between over or underexposed is a thing of the past. This PTZ camera also has an extreme wide angle lens which is a whopping 75.1°, the widest in its class. Don’t need such a wide angle? No problem. With its 20x optical zoom you’ll have more than enough room to make your shot look exactly how you want it to.
Remote PTZ Camera Controller
Since we’re introducing a brand new remote PTZ camera, we can’t skip talking about the new controller! The
AW RP150 was launched at the same time as the AW-UE150 4K PTZ camera. This is a brand new controller with functions which are essential in this day and age.
What is most noticeable is that the touch screen is gigantic compared to its predecessor. A better overview, more data and more ease of use. Ideal for quickly changing settings. What’s also quite obvious is that there is a new joystick, which is larger and sits better in the hand. That’s not everything, though. This joystick comes with a rocker which can be set to control zoom or focus depending on what you prefer. This means it’s possible to control an entire live stream with one hand. The controller comes with separate buttons for controlling the speed of the pan, tilt, zoom and focus. Perfect for customising this controller to your own personal preferences. There’s no need to scroll through endless menus. This newly designed controller is equipped with direct buttons for all of the most often used functions.

Due to the increased quality and reliability of PTZ cameras, these have now become an integral part of the broadcasting industry. These cameras were previously only really used in reality TV shows such as Big Brother, but nowadays can be found everywhere, from live streams to studio programmes.
