Is it difficult to meet your conversation partner face-to-face? Then a conference phone might be a good solution. This device allows you to have meetings even if your colleagues are overseas. The YVC-1000 is a USB speakerphone and consists of a separate speaker and microphone.

Connections

The heart of the system is the laptop or phone that’s connected to the conference phone. If a laptop is being used, it can be connected with the included USB cable. The laptop will automatically recognise the conference system and will control the audio of the conversation with this system. It’s also easy to link the conference phone to your laptop, smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth. If you’d like to link or add a person to a conversation, simply hold the smartphone within 4 cm from the loudspeaker. The NFC technology will automatically connect via Bluetooth and add the person to the conversation.

Sound quality

You can always rely on Yamaha. The basic station comes with their own autotune feature. This allows the conference phone to analyse the acoustics of the room and will adjust the settings according to what it detects. This means that you can be sure that you always have an optimal audio experience. The included omnidirectional microphone has a 360 degree range. It’s not necessary to sit on a specific side of the microphone. Sound is picked up perfectly all around it. This microphone also has Human Voice Activity Detection (HVAD). In practice, this means that human voices can be discerned from surrounding ambient noise. This makes filtering disturbing background noise out as easy as can be. It’s super convenient for keeping the audio of the conversation as ‘clean’ as possible.

Boardroom

This Yamaha system is easily scalable to the dimensions of the space and the number of people present. The basic station with the included external microphone is extremely suited for smaller spaces and meetings up to around 6 people. For these calls you will only need to use the basic station and one external microphone. Compact and simple.

Meetingroom

For larger groups up to around 16 to 20 people, audibility is often problematic. The speakers are often sitting too far away from the microphone, meaning that their voices are not picked up well. This means that they are often not well-heard by the party on the other end. This system offers the possibility to increase the number of microphones up to a maximum of 5. These extra microphones are very easy to connect, allowing voices to be picked up over a much larger area. The extra microphones are not included in this set. Additional microphones can be added to the cart via the related items bar at the bottom of this pave. We are happy advise you.

Convention

But wait, there’s more! This conference phone has audio in and outputs especially for large groups. This allows you to fully integrate the system into the sound setup of your convention or any other large meeting. By connecting the audio input to the system, you can create a fully separate ‘audio mix’. You can, for example, include the headset of the head speaker, the panel’s handheld mics and the guests’ lapel mics in the meeting. The possibilities are truly endless.
