Shure Axient Handheld

Are you organising a convention where nothing can be left to chance? Then you can trust the unequalled quality of the Shure Axient Digital wireless microphone systems. Shure has combined the successes of their previous top series, such as the UHF-R and the ULX-D, into a new top line: Shure Axient Digital. This platform is the best that an audio technician can wish for. Amazing sound transmission, high signal stability, crisp audio, flexible hardware options, advanced connectivity, and extensive control are just a taste of the possibilities than Axient Digital offers. Because of the huge number of possibilities, Axient Digital products are not well suited for private or semi-professional use. Do you have limited knowledge of wireless microphone systems? Then we do not advise using this system. We recommend the much more user friendly Sennheiser systems.

Bandwidth

Due to the growing number of smartphones and tablets, the number of wireless connections is also inherently growing. This means that the airwaves are busier and busier. This means that the stability and performance of wireless connections are increasingly under pressure. In order to cope with this, a system must be used to navigate around disturbances and interference. Axient Digital’s transmitters and receivers have a usable bandwidth of 184 MHz (470-636 MHz). This means that it is possible to use 17 transmitters simultaneously per 6 MHz. When ‘High Density’ mode is on, this number is increased to a whopping 47 transmitters!

Encryption

Shure Axient Digital works fully digitally. This reduces the chance of failures and makes new settings possible. However, the digitalisation of these systems also makes them vulnerable to new problems. It is theoretically possibly to hack and listen remotely to these digital systems. Shure has used an AES256 encryption to make sure that this is not possible. This means that the system is completely safe to use even when discussing sensitive or confidential topics.

Microphone

Our Shure AD2 transmitters come with the well-known B58 Super Cardioid capsule, and can withstand a high acoustic pressure whilst also having ideally formed frequency response. This makes these microphones perfect for amplifying speech and singing.

Configuration

Keep in mind that you will need both a receiver(s) and a transmitter(s) in order for this system to work. This product only includes the Axient Digital wireless handhelp microphone. In order to use this system you must also rent the corresponding receiver(s).
