PowerCON TRUE1 Extension Cable

After the many years of success enjoyed by PowerCON connectors, it was time for something new. By this point, the entire audiovisual industry had already switched to these connectors, but the limitations of this type were becoming more and more obvious. In short, it was high time for a successor. The result is this: the PowerCON TRUE1 series. However, it’s not always possible to use this PowerCon TRUE1 extension cable. In order to be able to use this cable, the equipment you want to connect must have the right connections. 9 times out of 10, your equipment will be crucial in deciding what cabling you want to use.

PowerCON TRUE1 Properties

A big advantage of PowerCON TRUE1 connections when compared to the old version with blue and grey connectors is that they’re weatherproof. This new generation has an IP65 classification, which makes the connectors suitable for outdoor use. A splash of water or hail won’t damage these connectors. However, you always need to check whether the equipment with which you’re planning to use these connectors is also IP65 certified. When using the old generation with blue and grey connectors, the cable length was always of the utmost importance, as cables were always equipped with male connectors on both sides. Linking cables was simply not possible. Since the new series works with both male and female connectors and chassis parts, it’s finally possible to extend cables. This cable is not called an extension cable for nothing. You can, of course, use this cable as a loop cable. This allows you to simply 'tap' voltage from a device and use it to power a new device without having to connect an extra plug to a wall socket.

You can also use this loop or extension cable to extend a power or loop cable. Because this cable has a male connection on one end and a female on the other end, it's possible to connect to an existing PowerCON TRUE1 cable.
