4K Video Mixer

The Roland V-600 UHD is an 4K video mixer. Based on the successful earlier designs of the HD video mixers, Roland has introduced this new flagship video mixer that handles 4K and UHD resolutions. The Roland V-600 UHD has a scaler on all in- and outputs. Therefor it's not necessary to match all input resolutions with the output resolution. In short this means that you can connect any type of video source, like a laptop, camera or play-out device without any scaling problems. 50 or 60 Hz? NTSC or PAL? This video mixer handles them all.

Inputs

The Roland V-600 UHD is equipped with 6 inputs. Four of which an HDMI 2.0 and two 12G-SDI connections. With the 8 available channels, you have the option to load - separate from your inputs -  stills or backgrounds on these channels. But there are more options. You can also use these channels to make multiple crop shots with a single 4K camera. For example; You can shoot a single overview and take out of this same shot three HD close-up shots. This feature makes it seem that you can switch between four different cameras whereas you are only using one single camera.

   

Outputs

With 4 outputs this video mixer enables you to connect to a number of projectors, screens or LED walls via the HDMI 2.0 (3x) and 12G-SDI (1x) connections. As you might expect, every output is scaleable. For hooking up a multiview monitor, there is a separate HDMI 1.4 connection available, which gives you a fixed resolution of 1080/60p. This Roland V-600 UHD supports input resolutions starting at 1080/50i till 4096 x 2160/60Hz (DCI 4K). The output resolutions range from 1080/50p till 4096 x 2160/60Hz (DCI 4K).
