What is an Audiopod?

What do I use an audiopod for?

The audiopod is simply the modular ‘heart’ of all professional audio use at events, such as conferences, congresses, seminars, workshops, presentations and summits. Many such events will take place at hotels and convention centers, but you can also use this audiopod for a presentation at the office or any other event location.

Basically, an audiopod organizes all incoming and outgoing audio signals. In order to do this, it is equipped with a compact digital mixer on top. This can be used to access all kinds of settings and make adjustments to the audio signals. For example, we can change the volume as well as the timbre, but there are also many other settings which can be accessed. It’s basically equipped with everything to achieve the ideal sound at your event.

What does the audiopod consist of?

As mentioned above, the audiopod is a fully modular system. There are two sides which mean that the materials can be completely adapted to your event. On the one hand there is the input side. There’s room for 4 wireless microphone receivers in the audiopod. This makes it possible to vary both the number and type of wireless microphone according to what your event needs. This makes it possible to rent the audiopod in combination with one wireless handheld microphone, but also with 4 wireless microphones of which 2 are wireless tie pins, 1 is a wireless headset and 1 is a wireless handheld microphone, for example.

On the output side, the audiopod is equally versatile. Using different types of connections it is possible to use this setup in combination with different speaker systems. This makes it possible to connect to almost any fixed installation. No good soundsystem at your event location? We are happy to provide you with a quality sound system tailored to the room, use and group size. That way you can be sure that the sound is always top quality!

There are however also a number of fixed components in the audiopod. These are simply necessary devices which allow the entire setup to function properly. These include a user-friendly digital mixer and cable set for connecting to the mains, speakers and possibly a laptop. This cable set also makes it possible to connect a laptop, tablet or phone to the sound system via mini jack. This assures you of high quality sound even while playing a video or background music during (coffee) breaks.

Space

At many event venues, such as hotels, congress and conference centers, space is very precious. Guests naturally prefer not to spend extra money on space for technology. The dimensions of any materials are therefore crucial. The more compact, the better. With this in mind, we designed the audiopod to be as compact as possible. It only requires a floor space of 55 x 55 cm.

Speed

Many event venues are located in busy cities. This makes speed essential. Loading and unloading points in front of the door are often busy and should be freed up as soon as possible for the next supplier. Elevators at the venue are often busy and are often also used by guests, so use should be kept to a minimum. In addition, the traffic speed of rooms is very high, in order to allow as many guests as possible to use all of the facilities. In short, there is simply no time to lose. Fortunately, with the audiopods we have reduced the assembly and disassembly time to an absolute minimum. Installation by our qualified staff is possible in just 10 minutes.

Flexibility

You can prepare an event extremely well, but last minute changes are part of the industry. That’s why it’s essential that the audiovisual equipment is flexible enough to be able to respond directly to changes. The audiopod can therefore be equipped with four wireless microphones (any type you’d like), but also has four freely usable connections for connecting, for example, additional microphones, laptops, telephones and the like.

Appearance

Nothing is as annoying as loose cabling or an heap of loose flight cases. This is even more true at chic congress and conference locations. You simply want the technology to be finished in the same high-quality manner as the location itself. This is why all of the cabling is simply concealed inside the audiopod itself. In order to create an elegant final result, it is also equipped with a special skirt so that it stands out as little as possible.
